You're asking the meaning of 1.haikus in general or 2.this particular one? 1. Haiku is a micro form of poetry where the writer is expected to express his thoughts in a concise way. Not more than three lines usually. The ending line would mostly have a surprise element. my favorite: அணிலின் கூடலுக்காக அடக்கப் பட்டது - தும்மல்
2. This haiku asks whether the street light-in repair is mocking at the Lightning by imitating it?
P.S: The last thing a writer wants is to explain what he has written. :D
The total essence of the poem is lost when someone else explains it to you..

I felt like... WOW!!!
If Ganesh would have explained it in plain words, it wouldn't be giving even 1% of the joy i had felt for the Hykoo(i still stick on to it & not Haiku!)
I stick to '俳句' & not Hykoo or Haiku.. Its the original Jap word.. Lol! Even google & Wiki turn up better results for the string 'Haiku'.. Now don't start an arguemnt out of this=)
Nice one...
